Kodjo KOUDAKPO

Welcome to my home page!

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the Université de Montréal and a member of CIREQ. My research interests lie at the intersection of macroeconomics, fiscal policy, international economics, and development economics.

My research examines fiscal rules and fiscal policy, restrictions on services trade and U.S. multinational activity, and international innovation spillovers from OECD countries to developing economies. I use quantitative models, econometric methods, and microeconomic data to study how institutions, international integration, and technology diffusion affect productivity, growth, firms, and households.

I also have extensive international development experience through assignments with World Bank Group. My work connects macroeconomic, fiscal, and structural policies to household welfare, employment, firm performance, and regional outcomes. I have contributed to country diagnostics, macro- and microsimulation, fiscal incidence analysis, crisis monitoring, social protection operations, poverty measurement, and policy dialogue across Sub-Saharan Africa.

I hold an M.Sc. in Economics and Statistics and an M.Sc. in Applied Statistics from ENSAE-Senegal. My previous experience also includes work with BCEAO, USAID-RTAC, and National Statistical Offices.
